The dream of following a dentistry career came to me as a little girl, and at 18 years old I had no doubts that I wanted to enroll at the Faculty of Dentistry. I graduated as a dental surgeon in 2001 in Brazil, having started my practical experience when I was 23 years old.
My passion for dentistry sparked an interest in the academic field. I have a postgraduate degree in Dental Materials from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), and a master's degree (M.Sc.) and Doctorate (PhD) in Biomaterials applied to dentistry.
Due to my extensive clinical and academic experience I have been a clinical instructor in the field of dental materials in both Brazil and Denmark. In 2009 I was invited to continue my research project at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), and two years later, I obtained a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Copenhagen (KU).
In 2010, I relocated permanently to Denmark and where I aimed to obtain my Danish Dentistry license, which encompassed several years of studying the Danish language, as well as exhaustive preparation for theoretical and practical tests in dentistry. With determination and resilience I acquired my local title of dentist in 2017. Since then, I have shared my time between clinical practice and lecturing at the University of Copenhagen.
My most recent professional experience was in Greenland, where I lived and worked for three months as a chief district dentist in Aasiaat, a small town with just over 3,000 inhabitants in the northwestern part of the country. It was an unforgettable experience that introduced me to the rich and unique Greenlandic culture, as well as countless memories from Greenland's stunning nature. Professionally, it taught me how to handle difficult and vulnerable situations, and I learned to work outside my comfort zone.
As a dentist, I value professionalism and safety and therefore conduct thorough initial consultations. I am known for establishing a good communication channel with my patients and to tailor to the needs of individuals.
With over 20 years of experience in general practice, I have gained extensive knowledge in various areas of dental care, with a particular emphasis on preventive treatment and cosmetic dentistry.
"Dentistry is not only a restorative therapy, but a preventive philosophy."

About the Clinic
Tandlægerne Trianglen 4 is located centrally in Østerbro near Trianglen, in a spacious and bright premise on the 4th floor. We are the fourth generation of professionals that have been providing high quality care for over 120 years in this space, maintaining a tradition of providing excellent dentistry, based on knowledge, the use of modern equipment, as well as personable and welcoming care.
I perform almost all forms of dental treatment, with preventive treatment as well as aesthetic treatments being my main field of interest and expertise. However, I strongly believe in the importance of referring patients to specialist dentists whenever required, and I collaborate with some of Copenhagen's most skilled specialists in surgery and orthodontics.
One of my core values is providing treatments tailored to individual needs. I understand that each patient has unique treatment needs and desires. Therefore, I take the time to listen to my patients, understand their concerns and challenges, and create a treatment plan that meets their wishes and expectations.
I exclusively use Danish dental laboratories, with high quality approved materials.
